Battlefront Miniatures is expanding its line of gaming tokens from Gale Force Nine with stand-alone token sets for various units and nations for Flames of War. As a result of our new printed token techniques, Gale Force Nine is now able to produce tokens with some of the more striking and colorful iconography of World War II.

Flames of War fans have spoken and Battlefront has culled their requests for many of the new token sets to be released in the coming months. The first sets in this series are tokens for Australian forces, New Zealand forces, British Commandos and US Rangers. Other new token sets will follow. Along with these sets, look for supplemental sets of tokens to expand the number of markers from your favorite Flames of War Gaming Sets.

Gale Force Nine in conjunction with our partners at Battlefront Miniatures have been working on some exciting new projects. Over the next few months the range of Battlefield in a Box products will be expanded to include many new items to help make your battlefields more interesting. The first releases in the range are desert themed rocky hills and sandbag dug-in markers, timed for the release of Battlefront’s North Africa for Flames of War. These are a limited run of painted variants of other products that will be released later this year. These variant versions will only be available via the Flames of War online store and will be painted and ready to go, straight out of the box.

Later in the Fall of 2009, the standard version of the hills will see their release. Each rocky hill set is pre-painted for quick use in your miniature battles. Included with each set is a pouch of Green Static Grass to accent your terrain. Or you can use any of the GF9 Hobby Scenics static grasses and flocks (available separately) to match the terrain piece to your tabletop battlefield.



Besides rocky hills, initial releases in the range will include a Pine Wood. The woods set will contain painted woods templates and based trees. Also debuting this fall are the River Expansion sets. These sets contain three one-foot pieces of pre-painted river sections. These sections combine with each other as well as the Flames of War Rivers set to create twisting waterways on your battlefield.

Battlefront Miniatures expands its line of Battlefield in a Box accessories with these new Dug-In Markers created by Gale Force Nine’s Jason Buyaki. Each set contains eight (8) tabletop-ready Dug-In Markers, suitable for use with any army on the Eastern or Western Front. The Markers are provided pre-painted.

These markers are ideal for showing which of your teams are dug-in. Also during assaults when your troops may leave there foxholes to finish off the enemy you can leave the markers in place for your troops to return to.

Gale Force Nine is pleased to present the first release in our officially licensed line of accessories for Wizards of the Coast’s Axis & Allies Naval Miniatures. The Admiral’s Token Set contains 35 FULL-COLOR plastic counters to easily track the status of your fleet during engagements.

The War at Sea Admiral’s Token Set contains 3 Objective counters, 3 Destroyed counters, 3 Crippled counters, 10 Damage 1 counters, 4 Damage 2 counters, 4 Re-Arming aircraft counters, 4 Aborted aircraft counters and 4 Smoke indicators. Inspired by the art style of war-era posters and propaganda, these bright and colorful tokens replace all the cardstock counters used in the game. The addition of the Smoke indicator allows you to mark sectors filled with fog, squalls or smoke screens.

These tokens are the first full-color tokens produced by Gale Force Nine. These are the same style of token you’ve come to expect from Gale Force Nine, hard durable plastic with a felt back but now featuring full color graphics and iconography! This new manufacturing method will allow GF9 to produce truly stunning tokens. Expect to see more full color tokens in future releases!

Each set contains 1 Objective counter, 10 Disrupted Hit Counters, 4 Damaged Hit Counters, 4 Destroyed Hit Counters, 4 Defensive Fire tokens and 2 Overwatch indicators. The hit counters have distinctive shapes so they are easily identifiable while face down in the Assault Phase. The Defensive Fire token may be placed in a hex when that unit fires at transgressing units in your opponent’s phase. The Overwatch token is for use when playing with the Expanded Rules and indicates the hex facing of the affected unit in Overwatch mode. These bright tokens will really stand out on the Battle Map and will enhance every Axis & Allies Miniatures conflict.

Gale Force Nine has added five new magnetic base sizes to our renowned Magnetic Basing System!

The Magnetic Basing System is the ultimate solution for your model basing needs. Each pack contains ready to use magnetic bases and a sheet of self-adhesive “rubber steel”. Your forces will always be battle-ready, be it in their movement trays, display boards or army transport case.

Every pre-sized base is a powerful magnet, topped with molded plastic. Simply mount your miniature as you would on any standard plastic base, paint and flock the base and your model is ready to take to the battlefield. The magnetic base will adhere to any ferrous surface and is strong enough to hold even metal models in place.

Included in each set is a sheet of rubber steel; a flexible ferrous surface with a self-adhesive coating on the back. The rubber steel may easily be cut to any shape or size to fit into a movement tray or on a display board.
