Each set includes a Character Status Tile. This durable plastic tile is a handy reference for all the variable stats that can change during combat. The tile is designed to work with wet erase markers so you can quickly modify your status as it changes in battle.

The Action Point Tile is a handy reminder for players to make an extraordinary move to turn the tide of combat. The Light Source token can be slipped onto the base of your model when your character is scouts ahead of party with a torch or lantern. The underbelly of the city is riddled with dark crawlways and treacherous passages. The locals call this foul network the Ratfang Sewers. Filth and grime abound in these damp tunnels and all manner of disgusting creatures slink about, plotting, scheming and performing vile acts to appease dark powers. Far from the lands of civilized men lies a chilling monument to ancient powers, the Jungle Temple. Throughout history this cursed edifice has been the site of profane rituals and the target of epic quest as adventurers seek answers to forbidden questions. As conflict spreads and the rules of engagement re-written, commanders field new formations of soldiers to win the day. Gale Force Nine introduces two new varieties of movement trays to field these new unit configurations.

Soldiers gather in large numbers to overwhelm the opposition with sheer manpower. GF9 has placed movement trays to accommodate these large units in a new section called HORDE FORMATIONS. These larger trays fit ranks of soldiers that are ten models wide. There are trays for models on both 20mm and 25mm bases as well as trays for models on larger 40mm and 50mm bases. Moving these imposing hordes of troops across the battlefield has never been easier.

Hobbyist Aaron Dill has finished and painted these new tray types to match his armies.

Some armies field forces in a dispersed formation. Gale Force Nine’s SKIRMISH FORMATIONS allow you to move these loosely ranked units across the battlefield with ease. The trays are designed to maintain a ½ gap between each model. If the unit engages in melee, it’s easy enough to remove them from the tray and place them in a standard rank and file formation for combat. Survivors can then be placed back in the tray and moved on their way.



Common unit sizes of these trays will be available in finer game and hobby shops. More unique regiment sizes will be available via the GF9 online store.

This official accessory for DUNGEONS & DRAGONS contains 50 Full Color Durable Acrylic Tokens for DM’s to manage combats and track the conditions of monsters and heroes as they battle in dangerous dungeons and far away realms.

The 22 dragonscale-shaped tokens indicate specific effects that adventures and dungeon denizens may fall victim to. The scale-shaped tokens are all emblazoned with D&D artwork from Wizards of the Coast. The 18 scroll tokens act as handy reminders for status and ongoing damage effects. These scroll tokens are designed so the DM may mark them with a wet erase marker (available from any office supply or stationary store). The set also includes 5 drop-shaped Bloodied tokens and 5 corpse markers.

The tokens are contained in a handsome wooden box. Inside, the box is divided into compartments to sort and store your tokens and any other items the Dungeon Master will be using; dice, pencils, miniatures or whatever! Inside, the box is divided into compartments to sort and store your tokens and any other items the Dungeon Master will be using; dice, pencils, miniatures or whatever! The lid of the box is lined with felt, turning it into the perfect dice tray to keep wild rolls under control.

Each full-color token is made from thin but durable acrylic and the back is covered with a layer of felt to protect your tabletop, map and miniatures. The 22 dragonscale-shaped tokens are designed to nest against the base of your DUNGEONS & DRAGONS miniatures and indicate which game effects they might be under. The 18 scroll tokens act as handy reminders for status and ongoing damage effects. These tokens are designed so the DM may mark them with a wet erase marker (available from any office supply or stationary store). The set also includes 5 drop-shaped Bloodied tokens and 5 corpse markers.

Its been a while since we showcased a terrain project so we wanted to give everyone a preview of a new table project we’ll be adding to the Terrain Gallery next week. Battlefront Miniatures is expanding its line of gaming tokens from Gale Force Nine with stand-alone token sets for various units and nations for Flames of War. As a result of our new printed token techniques, Gale Force Nine is now able to produce tokens with some of the more striking and colorful iconography of World War II.

Flames of War fans have spoken and Battlefront has culled their requests for many of the new token sets to be released in the coming months. The first sets in this series are tokens for Australian forces, New Zealand forces, British Commandos and US Rangers. Other new token sets will follow. Along with these sets, look for supplemental sets of tokens to expand the number of markers from your favorite Flames of War Gaming Sets.

Gale Force Nine in conjunction with our partners at Battlefront Miniatures have been working on some exciting new projects. Over the next few months the range of Battlefield in a Box products will be expanded to include many new items to help make your battlefields more interesting. The first releases in the range are desert themed rocky hills and sandbag dug-in markers, timed for the release of Battlefront’s North Africa for Flames of War. These are a limited run of painted variants of other products that will be released later this year. These variant versions will only be available via the Flames of War online store and will be painted and ready to go, straight out of the box.

Later in the Fall of 2009, the standard version of the hills will see their release. Each rocky hill set is pre-painted for quick use in your miniature battles. Included with each set is a pouch of Green Static Grass to accent your terrain. Or you can use any of the GF9 Hobby Scenics static grasses and flocks (available separately) to match the terrain piece to your tabletop battlefield.



Besides rocky hills, initial releases in the range will include a Pine Wood. The woods set will contain painted woods templates and based trees. Also debuting this fall are the River Expansion sets. These sets contain three one-foot pieces of pre-painted river sections. These sections combine with each other as well as the Flames of War Rivers set to create twisting waterways on your battlefield.

Battlefront Miniatures expands its line of Battlefield in a Box accessories with these new Dug-In Markers created by Gale Force Nine’s Jason Buyaki. Each set contains eight (8) tabletop-ready Dug-In Markers, suitable for use with any army on the Eastern or Western Front. The Markers are provided pre-painted.

These markers are ideal for showing which of your teams are dug-in. Also during assaults when your troops may leave there foxholes to finish off the enemy you can leave the markers in place for your troops to return to.
